Acknowledgements

First of all, we would like to thank Shakespeare, MORIMOTO Kazueko, and NAKAMURA Yoshiki for inspiring us to write this. Without them, there would be no Macbeth and no Yakuza. In summation, the plot would have been non-existent (and the possibility for the story would be--there wouldn't be any possibility.). The inspiration for the title also came from Icarus who aimed too high and plummeted to his own death in consequence of that desire.

We extend our gratitude to B-chan who, despite her busy schedule, found the time to sit down and read the first few chapters to edit and to share her suggestions. We want to thank Azure who made sure Naoki (a.k.a Banquo) is 'honorable' and 'loyal', in an honorable and loyal kind of way (and not so twisted when the first draft was written), and Choupie who provided us with cultural notes (it's always nice to learn new things, after all). Thank you Teko: you who made the art of manga possible. Without Teko, everyone would probably suffer from lack of visual entertainment.

We would also like to thank the following people: Kat who was the reason why the characters saved themselves from walking the earth naked; Eri who helped ease all our stressors (a compliment, my dear.); Remi, MF, Che-Che, and Paowie who painted a rainbow in this world of black and white (thankfully, the colors were not spilled in a messy kind of way); and last but not the least - Lles, Ri-an, and Me-an for reading this imperfect piece of literature and enjoyed it anyway.

And of course, Ms. Armi who gave us this project in the first place.
